Hello! I'm am Samantha, an award-winning hair and makeup artist who from a young age, had a passion for all things fashion and beauty which began in my formative years at performing arts school.

I took that passion and turned it into my career, founding SJB Hair and Makeup. Now, I get to work with incredible people just like you.

I have pinch myself moments when I reflect on my career, from travelling worldwide to working on some incredible projects and a few famous faces to boot!

But more than that, I'm a professional at making people feel amazing. Think of me as your calming presence and your personal glam hype woman, all in one.

From the moment you sit in my chair, you'll know you're in expert hands. My true specialty, however, is making the entire experience comfortable, fun and like you have just spent a coupe of hours with a friend who also made you look fantastic. We'll have a great time, and you'll walk away feeling like the absolute best version of yourself.

Where it all started

THE ORIGIN STORY

My love affair with all things glam started super early – I'm talking "toddler in a tutu" early! At just three, I was already twirling and tapping my way through performing arts school. Daily dancing and performing meant hair and makeup weren't just for special occasions; they were practically my uniform! This sparkle-obsessed journey sashayed right into university, where I dove deep into the world of fashion and business. Then, I spent some fabulous years styling for Topshop, living out my fashionista dreams.

But a little voice (okay, maybe a loud, glitter-covered voice!) told me I needed more. So, in 2012, I took a massive, exhilarating leap of faith, swapping sartorial styling for full-time hair and makeup artistry! I supercharged my skills, training with industry rockstars like Beauty Call, DFMA Academy, and the legendary MAC PRO. Soon after, SJB Hair and Makeup was born, and the incredible SJB team quickly grew around it. Now, we're here to sprinkle that magic on you, making every moment feel like a performance!
