Wedding Day Hair and Makeup – Tunbridge Wells – High Rocks

I can honestly say I had the absolute pleasure of looking after Alannah, her two sisters and her grooms lady for her summer wedding at the wedding venue High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells.

Alannah and I, along with her bridesmaids (sister) had first met a few years ago at a bridal hair and makeup trial when I was looking after a friend of hers getting married and Alannah attended to support. Alannah reminded me of this when we met at her hair and makeup  trial. Where she went on to say that when she got married, she knew it was me she wanted as her hair and makeup stylist… cue bashful, smiley face by me…

We had a lot of fun experimenting with looks and styles at the hair and makeup trial for not only Alannah but her two bridesmaids and groom’s lady. I knew when it came to the wedding day there was going to be a lot of giggles. July arrived and I met the bridal party at the Tunbridge Wells Hotel to get them all hair and makeup ready and feeling fabulous. I also got to work wit one of my favourite wedding photographers, Tom Jeavons Photography and it was a relaxed and fun morning.

Hair and Makeup Styling

All 4 ladies opted for different styling to reflect their own sense of style. My gorgeous bride Alannah is a lover of plaits and so went for a beautiful braided updo and a stronger gold and brown graduated smokey eye. The maids went for a sleek updo to real beachy waves and a much lighter eye makeup. Alannah’s gorgeous wedding dress was from Wed2b in Bromley worn with the most beautiful blue toned shoes. which were one of the first wedding items she brough, even before the dress…

As you can see from Toms stunning pic capturing the day, the laughs continued throughout the day, and I would have expected nothing less from such sweet hearted and genuine people…. And they even brought a little piece of London to Tunbridge wells with their big red bus.
