Working with Sam for my wedding was hands-down one of the best decisions I made. From the moment she arrived, she brought such a calm, fun, and seamless energy to the getting-ready process, instantly putting everyone at ease.
My hair and makeup turned out even better than I had dreamed! I truly felt like the best version of myself, and the look held up flawlessly through emotional tears, endless dancing, and late-night celebrating.
Beyond her exceptional talent, Sam went far above and beyond her role as a hair and makeup artist. She helped me get into my dress and was a listening ear when I needed to practice my emotional speech. In those overwhelming pre-wedding moments, her warmth and genuine support meant the world to me. Choosing SJB Hair and makeup course was the best 1-to-1 decision I have ever made for my beauty routine and confidence. Samantha was amazing from the moment I reached out to her. So kind, caring and knowledgeable. She made me and my mum feel so comfortable and welcoming on my trial day at her home studio. On the wedding day she made my mum, my bridesmaids and I feel and look beautiful and confident. She fitted right in with us all and it was like having another friend there helping us get ready. Sam was amazing and all you could ask of a make-up artist and more. It was so lovely meeting her beforehand for my trial. She put my mind at ease and helped me figure out the look I would like as I rarely wear much makeup so was feeling unsure about this. On the day Sam was brilliant, helping me feel chilled and being there right up to the ceremony helping me get in my dress and position my veil. I was so very grateful for this as it was a busy morning but Sam bought the positive vibes and energy and made sure we were all set for the day. She is all round a lovely person too ❤️

I had Samantha do my hair and makeup for a friends wedding and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. She started with a consultation where we went over my usual style and makeup looks. I then showed her my inspiration photos which she matched perfectly giving me the soft glam look I was wanting. My hair was flawless, she integrated a headband I had to match my outfit whilst paying attention to it not looking bulky and the style held for the whole day even in the 30 degree heat.

Not only is Samantha extremely talented at what she does she was an incredibly warm and lovely person to spend the morning with. We had a great laugh and natter!

I reached out to Sam and her team at the last minute to help with my hair and makeup for a friend’s wedding, and from start to finish, Sam went above and beyond. From providing a dedicated page where I could share inspiration photos and style preferences beforehand, to delivering incredible results on the day, every detail was thoughtfully handled.

Sam arrived promptly and, based solely on the photos and descriptions I’d shared, perfectly matched my skin tone. As an Indian girl, this can often be tricky—I usually end up looking too chalky, too orange, or overly made up. Sam listened carefully to all my concerns and, even without a trial, created a stunning look that complemented my outfit beautifully.

Most importantly, my hair and makeup lasted all day and night, seamlessly transitioning from the heatwave during the afternoon ceremony to the evening reception without needing touch-ups.
