CUSTOM LOOK
We start with a full consultation (covering lighting, concept, and wardrobe) to design photoshoot hair and makeup that aligns perfectly with your photographer’s brief and your personal brand aesthetic.
CAMERA SPECIFIC TECHNIQUES
I use professional products and techniques that eliminate shine, prevent “flashback” (the white ghosting from SPF/silica), and subtly contour features to prevent the face from looking flat on camera.

Tailored Preview Session:
This is where your vision comes to life! Taking place at my beautiful home studio, we’ll perfect your chosen bridal hair and makeup look, ensuring you feel completely confident. Lashes are included to try and again for your wedding day. (Available to all packages with the exception of the On the day Bridal Package).

I’ve partnered with a local hair accessory designer to give you an exclusive discount on your perfect piece. You will have a selection of her accessories for you to try on at your preview session, so we can find the ideal match for your look. As well as the option to order high-quality real hair extensions at cost price, based on our discussions.

Take home a customised face chart detailing all the products used on your wedding day. You’ll also receive professional portrait images from both your preview and wedding day, plus gain practical tips and tricks for your own future makeup application and skincare.
Prep & Pamper
You’ll get a full skin consultation and glow-boosting facial at a hugely reduced price with my partnered local facialist. I’ll also send you home with a luxury sheet mask and collagen eye patches to use the night before and the morning of your wedding, so your skin is absolutely glowing.

Why do I need professional hair and makeup for a photo session, can’t I just do it myself?
This is the most common question I get! While you’re great at your everyday look, professional photoshoot hair and makeup is a different technique entirely. My expertise is in knowing how studio or natural light, high-definition cameras, and flash will affect the look. I use specific high-performance, long-wear products that prevent shine, eliminate “flashback” (the white cast from SPF), and contour features so they don’t look flat on camera. Investing in a professional means your final Branding shoot, Boudoir, or Fashion images will be polished, dramatically reducing the need for costly and time-consuming retouching.
How should I prepare my skin and hair before my photoshoot appointment?
To get the best results for your camera-ready look, please arrive with clean, dry hair and a moisturised, product-free face.

Hair: Wash your hair the night before or the morning of the session, but please do not use straighteners or heavy oils unless specifically instructed. Clean, dry hair holds style and curl much better!

Skin: Exfoliate the day before and apply your normal moisturiser/eye cream, but avoid applying any heavy serums or oil-based foundations right before I start. This clean base allows the professional products to adhere perfectly, ensuring a long-lasting photoshoot makeover.
How long does the hair and makeup session take, especially for a full makeover?
To ensure a flawless, unhurried result for your session—whether it’s a Maternity photoshoot or a detailed Editorial look—I typically book 1.5 to 2 hours for a full hair and makeup transformation. This includes a few minutes for a final consultation, the detailed application of your look, and any minor adjustments needed once you are dressed or ready to go on set. For shoots requiring more intricate or multiple looks (like some Fashion shoots), we will schedule additional time, which will be confirmed during the booking process.
I have a specific style in mind for my session. Do you offer a consultation?
Absolutely. A detailed consultation is key to my process. For every photoshoot styling booking, we will discuss your specific vision, the wardrobe, the photographer’s style, and the overall mood of the shoot (e.g., soft and romantic for Engagement or bold for Branding). I strongly encourage clients to share inspiration photos and their Pinterest boards so I can fully understand the desired aesthetic, guaranteeing your photoshoot hair and makeup perfectly complements the final image goal.
Do you travel to my location for my shoot?
Yes, I am a mobile photoshoot makeup artist and stylist! I provide on-location hair and makeup services for all sessions, allowing you to relax and get ready in the comfort of your own home or the designated studio/venue. I cover London, Kent, Essex and Surrey. A small travel fee may apply depending on the distance from my base, which will always be outlined clearly in your custom quote.
What kind of products do you use, especially for sensitive skin or close-up portrait shots?
I maintain a professional kit featuring high-end brands known for their performance, longevity, and exceptional quality. I exclusively use products formulated for High Definition (HD) photography that offer a flawless finish without looking heavy. I also carry a variety of products suitable for sensitive skin. If you have known allergies or concerns, please let me know during the consultation; you are always welcome to provide your own sensitive-skin-friendly foundation or mascara, though my goal is to ensure your Portrait hair and makeup is fully taken care of.
