City of London Wedding Hair and Makeup
I had the pleasure of looking after the most fabulous of ladies for her wedding day this July for her fabulous intimate wedding in central London.
From enquiry to Bridal hair and makeup trial.
Sarah first contacted me at the beginning of the year and of her own admission slightly terrified about the whole hair and makeup experience. Speaking with you to let you know we would only do what worked best for her and what she flet comfortable with soon put her mind at rest.
Sarah and her mum arrived with me in February for their bridal hair and makeup trial and within 20mins those nerves had subsided and we were well underway. At the end of the trial for both bride and mother of the bride I had both ladies in front of my ring light in a mini photoshoot. We had instilled the confidence in Sarah to show her how fabulous she looks with a spot of styling and makeup and she told me that it gave her the confidence needed to walk down the aisle.
The Wedding Day.
On the morning of the wedding I met Sarah at one of my favourite hotels CitizenM in the City. The hotel provided us with a large conference room to get Sarah, her mum and Sister ready on the morning. It came with the most amazing views of the Tower of London, The Gherkin and the Shard. I love the London skyline….
Sarah was a little overwhelmed when I arrived, and had little cry, (I know I don’t normally get that reaction…) and don’t worry it was just my arrival had made it feel more real. We soon turned the tears to laughter as we set about getting everyone ready with some classic 80’s tunes playing in the background.
We were joined by photographer Pete of Ap-Art Photography who is an awesome visual storyteller and all pictures featured in this blog are courtesy of him.
On the day Sarah went with a relaxed updo, soft romantic, boho in style finished with fresh flowers. We kept her makeup natural with a brown, gold smokey eye using my Morphe 350 eyeshadow palette and fresh glowing skin. It was important to make sure Sarah still felt like her on the day.
It wasn’t long before it was time to depart and head off to meet her groom at the Church and get married. After which Pete took the bride and groom for some of the most amazing pics with the sights of London as the backdrop.
